We are aiming for a game-changing advance in the treatment of Acute Pancreatitis.

Acute Pancreatitis (AP) affects 30,000 individuals in the UK every year - 1 in 4 of those affected will need treatment in intensive care, and 1 in 5 of those will die from AP.

The APPreSci consortium is bringing together patients, academics, industry and the public to create a world-leading science team that will transform the care of individuals who suffer an episode of AP.

APPreSci stands for Acute Pancreatitis Precision Science. You can read more about the consortium on our 'APPreSci Overview' page. You can also see how patients who have experienced AP are contributing to APPreSci on our 'Patient Partners' page.
