Angus is one of the investigators for the APPreSci consortium.
He is currently a professor of biochemistry at the School of Life Sciences at The University of Dundee.
Angus graduated in 1981 from the University of Glasgow with a BSc in Molecular Biology then obtained his PhD at the MRC Laboratory for Molecular Biology (University of Cambridge). In 1985 Angus joined Phillip Sharp’s group at MIT as a postdoctoral fellow. Angus joined EMBL (Heidelberg) as a group leader in 1987. He returned to the UK in 1995 with a personal chair in Biochemistry at the University of Dundee, where he established the Centre for Gene Regulation and Expression. In 2015 Angus set up the state of the art Laboratory for Quantitative Proteomics at Dundee.
